Ten companies of the Border Security Force will be deployed for maintaining Pre-election law and order situation in West Bengal.

Additional Chief Electoral officer Sanjay Basu on Tuesday said in Kolkata that the force will be deployed in the sensitive areas as precautionary measures. 

According to Election Department sources, the pictures of the candidates will be kept in the EVM this time to facilitate the voters to identify the candidates while casting of votes. 

The pictures of the candidates will also be printed in the voter’s slip for the first time. The State Election department has also launched C-vigil App for the voters' convenience.
