Heavy rains continue in most parts of Madhya Pradesh. Today, there is flood-like situation in many villages of Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh districts. Flood alert has been issued in many villages.

200 families were shifted to safer places in Tikamgarh district. Chhatarpur district has recorded 12 inches of rain in a day. All 12 gates of Rangawa Dam have been opened. Water is also being released from many dams in



Shivpuri and Gwalior districts. 

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of extremely heavy rain in four districts Gwalior, Datia, Bhind and Morena till tomorrow morning. There is an orange alert for 10 districts including Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari districts. The Meteorological Department has also forecast rain in other districts.
