3 terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in Shopian district

Three terrorists have been killed in a gunfight with security forces in the Shukroo Keller forest area of Shopian district in Jammu & Kashmir.

IGP Kashmir V K Birdi told that the three killed terrorists are believed to be members of LeT/TRF outfit. The identity of the slain terrorists is being



ascertained.

Earlier, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation, following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, terrorists opened heavy fire, and a fierce firefight ensued, which resulted in the elimination of three terrorists. Operation is in progress.
