US Vice President Mike Pence clashes with Democratic challenger Kamala Harris in vice presidential debate

US Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic challenger Kamala Harris faced off in the only vice presidential debate last evening in Salt Lake City, Utah, ahead of the November 3 election.

The debate touched upon issues including handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, development of a vaccine, economic recovery, taxes, law and order, among others.

Harris launched a scathing attack on Vice President Pence,



who leads the president's coronavirus task force.

She described the Trump administration's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic as the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of the US.

In his response, Pence accused the Democrats of plagiarism for calling Trump Administration's strategy of handling the pandemic as theirs.
