The President of the United Arab Emirates on Thursday said his country planned to invest $1.4 trillion in the United States over 10 years, lauding a "strong partnership" that flourished under US President Donald Trump.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed announced the "UAE's plan to invest $1.4 trillion in the United States... over the next 10 years," in fields including technology, artificial intelligence and energy, speaking from the presidential palace in Abu Dhabi alongside Trump.
This announcement was made during his reception of US President Donald Trump at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and President Trump reviewed prospects for cooperation and opportunities to expand its fields, particularly investment, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, industries, and other areas that serve the two countries' vision for a more prosperous future for all.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed addressed President Trump, saying, "There is a strong partnership between the UAE and the United States for development. This partnership has gained a qualitative and unprecedented
momentum, especially in the fields of the new economy, energy, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and industry."
He added, "This is confirmed by the UAE's plan to invest $1.4 trillion in the United States in these fields over the next ten years."
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed affirmed that the UAE and the United States enjoy a strong, friendly and strategic alliance based on solid foundations of mutual trust, respect, and shared interests, as well as a long history of cooperation in various political, economic, cultural, and other fields.
The UAE President also emphasized the UAE's commitment to continuing to strengthen its cooperation with the United States, in light of their shared visions for working towards peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East and the world, and building an effective international stance towards common global challenges. This stems from the UAE's unwavering approach to supporting stability, peace, and development at the regional and global levels through collective multilateral international action.
