Typhoon Haima approaches south China

Typhoon Haima is approaching south China and is expected to land in south Guangdong province today. From today to 23rd, heavy rainstorms will sweep south China and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Guangdong province, in particular, will be hit with torrential rainfall. According to the Guangzhou Railway Corporation, all trains running between Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong will halt today.




style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">In the meantime, a total of 85 trains, mainly traveling between Jiangxi and Fujian, have been ordered to stop services between Thursday and Saturday. Railway authorities in Guangxi also canceled 20 trains linking with major cities in Guangdong, on yesterday and today. Another 28 trains will be suspended in Shanghai as well.
