TikTok partners with Riyadh Season

TikTok, the global leading destination for short-form mobile video has partnered with Riyadh Season to promote the growing tourism sector in the Kingdom’s capital. Riyadh Season which is a three-month mega event, is hosting continuous entertainment of more than 100 events in 12 different zones, under the theme “Imagine”.

The partnership between TikTok and Riyadh Season resulted in a launch of a global challenge that started on Nov. 25, 2019 and ending on Dec. 1, 2019. The main aim is to showcase the diversity and richness of the activities happening throughout the season while highlighting how Riyadh is becoming a tourism destination in the MENA region and even globally.

Commenting on this collaboration, Mohamed Harb,



TikTok’s Operation Manager MENA, said: “We are very proud to be working closely and for the first time with Riyadh Season to emphasize the beauty of the Kingdom’s capital, Riyadh. We invited global content influencers from Russia, South Korea and the GCC to visit Riyadh, explore the city in-depth and participate in the challenge. We hope this is just the beginning of our journey to inject vitality into the creative and cultural sectors in the Kingdom, in line with Vision 2030.”

Many influencers on TikTok were challenged to “imagine” by creating videos to the beat of Riyadh’s Season’s official song. These videos should showcase their favorite Saudi landscape, the capital’s pool of ambitions and talents, the center of joy, innovation, and imagination. The hashtag #موسم_الرياض has garnered over 224.8 million views in only 3 days. Take a look at the videos created by Mshary Hilal, Amal Hassan, Doujana Bahader, Tala AlSaba and Mohammad Abbas and join the challenge.
