In South Korea, President Moon Jae-in's left-leaning ruling party won an absolute majority in parliamentary elections. 

According to provisional results released by the National



Election Commission yesterday, the Democratic party and its allies took 180 seats in the 300-member National Assembly, up from the current 120. Meanwhile, the conservative opposition coalition won 103 seats.
