Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Bangkok a short while ago for a three-day visit to Thailand. He will address the Indian diaspora in Bangkok this evening. The name of the event is 'Sawasdee PM MODI'. 

The programme has been organized at National Indoor Stadium. All seats of the stadium have been already booked. The organizer of the programme Atul Jogani told reporters that for the first time PM Modi will address the Indian community in Bangkok and people are excited to listen.

During the event, Prime Minister Modi will release special commemorative coin marking the 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Thai translation of Tirukkural (Tamil Classic).

AIR correspondent reports that there is a



very hectic schedule of Prime Minister for two days from tomorrow morning. Tomorrow Prime Minister Modi will co-chair the16th  India-ASEAN summit to take stock of the progress made in the relationship between ASEAN and India. Besides, Mr. Modi will also take part in Aditya Birla Group Golden Jubilee celebrations.

Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar. On Monday, PM Narendra Modi will take part in the 14th East Asia Summit to review the future direction of East Asia Cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues. Mr. Modi will also participate in the 3rd Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) summit. PM Modi is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Australia, Vietnam and Japan.
