Plestinian president thanks Saudi Arabia for global support on statehood

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke by phone on Monday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who thanked the Kingdom for its role in rallying international support for Palestinian statehood.

Abbas expressed his deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts and honorable positions, which



contributed to the commitment of many countries to recognize the State of Palestine.

He also thanked the Saudi leadership for “tireless efforts in coordinating positions to ensure the greatest international backing for the Palestinian cause” during last month’s New York conference on the two-state solution.
