Plane carrying 30 Russian children from Baghdad lands at Moscow

A plane carrying 30 Russian children from Baghdad, whose mothers are lodged in Iraqi jail for joining ISIS landed at Moscow airport last night.

Russian Health Ministry said that the children including 16 girls and 14 boys, aged three to 15 were taken to national health centre for medical



examination.

It is estimated that over hundred children are still in Iraqi jail. They were brought to Iraq by their mothers who joined the ISIS.

Since 2017, over hundred women and children have been brought back to Russia from ISIS-affected areas of Syria and Iraq.
