Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser, and Anton Zeilinger have won the 2022 Nobel Prize in physics for their work on quantum mechanics at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. 

The Academy of Sciences has decided to award the scientists for their experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering



quantum information science.

Alain Aspect is a French Physicist, Anton Zeilinger is an Austrian and John Clauser an American.

The Nobel prize for Chemistry will be announced on  Wednesday followed by the literature and peace prizes to be announced on Thursday and Friday respectively.
