Nepal will bid adieu to the former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala today. Cremation will be held with state honour at the Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu today.
The funeral procession would begin from the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor at around 2 pm and pass through Putali Sadak, Kamal Pokhari, Maitidevi and Gaushala before reaching the Aryaghat.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj with an all-party delegation reached kathmandu yesterday to attend the funeral.
The delegation comprised of Congress leader Anand Sharma, JD(U) President Sharad Yadav, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
In her meeting with Nepal Prime Minister KP Oli, Mrs Swaraj said India always stands by Nepal in its hours of grief.
