Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing arrived here on Saturday as part of his five-day tour to India and will visit the Maha Bodhi temple, officials said. 

Accompanied by a high-level delegation, including several cabinet ministers and business leaders, he landed at the airport here and was accorded a grand welcome by the Bihar government, they said. He



is scheduled to offer prayers at the Maha Bodhi temple and at Sujata Temple in Gaya Ji district. 

The Myanmar President will participate in the Myanmar-India business forum on Sunday. Hlaing will hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to further strengthen the historical and civilizational ties between the two countries.
