Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to the US for a three-day visit next weekend where he will attend the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) leadership summit hosted by American President Joe Biden at his Delaware residence, officials said.

PM Modi will reach the US on September 21, the day the four-nation summit is scheduled to be held.

This will be the fourth in-person Quad summit as US President Biden will be welcoming the heads of governments of partner countries-India, Australia and Japan.

Alongside PM Modi, Japan's Kishida Fumio and Australia's Anthony Albanese will also be attending the summit in Wilmington, Delaware.

"President Joseph

R. Biden, Jr. will host the fourth in-person Quad Leaders Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, on Saturday, September 21. The President looks forward to welcoming Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio of Japan", White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was quoted as saying by PTI.

"This will be President Biden’s first time hosting foreign leaders in Wilmington as president — a reflection of his deep personal relationships with each of the Quad Leaders, and the importance of the Quad to all of our countries. In recent years, Quad Foreign Ministers have met eight times, and Quad governments continue to meet and coordinate at all levels", she added.
