Iran summons Swiss envoy to protest at US Prez Trump's threatening remarks

Iranian Foreign Ministry on Sunday summoned the Swiss envoy to Tehran to strongly protest at US President Donald Trump's threatening remarks against Iran. 

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyed Abbas Araqchi told the Swiss envoy that hostile, threatening and abnormal comments by the US President are not acceptable and such views fully violate international laws.

He referred to Trump's threat to attack Iranian cultural centers, and said that such a threat reminds of the Mongols' attack or the terrorist and criminal groups' destruction of cultural and historical sites



which is a "war crime" under international law.

The Fars News Agency, considered a semi official news agency of Iran reported that Minister Araqchi, underlined Iran's preparedness to respond to any threat or measure against its security and territorial integrity. He also added that the Islamic Republic reserves its inalienable right of reaction to the assassination of General Soleimani at any time and place it sees appropriate.

The Swiss envoy, for his part, said that he will convey Iran's protest to the US government officials as soon as possible.
