India and Kazakhstan exchanged views on prevailing terrorist threats in their respective region, including state-sponsored and cross-border terrorism in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. 

During the 4th meeting of the Joint Working Group on Counter Terrorism in New Delhi yesterday, the two sides held useful discussion on the current challenges posed by



various terrorist entities, radicalisation, foreign terrorist fighters, drug trafficking and misuse of cyber space for terrorist purposes. 

The Indian delegation was led by Mahaveer Singhvi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, while the visiting side was headed by Ambassador on Special Missions A D Smagulov.
