As tensions mount at the India-Pakistan border and the Line of Control - where Pakistan has violated the 2003 ceasefire 60 times since India's surgical strikes on staging areas for terrorists - the Border Security Force or BSF says it has destroyed 14 Pakistani posts after relentless firing from across the border that claimed eight civilian lives on Tuesday.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said this is a message to Pakistan: If you kill Indians, you will pay the higher price. Speaking exclusively to NDTV in Amritsar, Mr Jaitley described Pakistan's internal situation as extremely precarious and called this "the new normal" established by the government. "We used to suffer in silence," he said, "but no more."
