Global Donors Raise $2.5 Million for Wounded Bondi Beach Hero Ahmed

Ahmed Al-Ahmed, hailed as a hero for his actions during the attack at Sydney's Bondi Beach, is recovering in hospital. 

The 42-year-old father of two received a $2.5 million donation raised worldwide by donors, community members, well-wishers, and strangers moved by his



bravery. 

His courageous act, credited with saving multiple lives and captured on camera, showed him approaching an attacker and wrestling a gun away. 

His cousin said he was shot twice, causing nerve damage that required complex surgery, with another operation scheduled this week.
