Foreign workers in Qatar can low leave country without prior permission

In Qatar, the long-awaited reform of  controversial foreign workers exit visa system came into force. This was announced on the twitter by Interior Ministry of Qatar in Doha. Under the new law, all but five per cent of a company's workforce, except those in most senior positions, can leave without prior



permission from employers.

Those not allowed to leave Qatar for any reason can file a complaint to the Expatriate Exit Grievance Committee that will take a decision within three working days. There are at least two million foreign workers in Qatar.
