Engineer from Andhra Pradesh drowns in Germany

ONGOLE: An engineering graduate from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh died in a boat accident in Duisburg, Germany on Sunday.

The accident happened at 11 p.m. Indian Stanadard Time and his family received the news at 4 a.m. Monday. The devastated family were trying to contact the Duisburg authorities to get more details.

Tech degree at Duisburg University.

According to family members, as it was a Sunday, Mallikarjuna and his friends went for a boat ride on a lake. The boat accidentally flipped over, and he drowned while trying to save one of his friends.

Mallikarjuna is the third child of K Venkateswarlu, a farmer and ration shop dealer in Katavaripallem village in Kondapi mandal.
