EgyptAir announced this week that it would provide special flights to transport ticket holders back from Saudi Arabia after the Kingdom announced the imposition of a travel ban due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

From Monday, March 9 to Tuesday, March 24, EgyptAir will provide two flights from Jeddah to Cairo every day, and a daily flight from Madinah to Cairo. Flights from Riyadh, Dammam, Qassim and Abha to the Egyptian capital will also be scheduled. The airline has requested customers to visit its

offices to alter their reservations.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation has given the airline its permission for these flights to take place so that pilgrims and visitors are not stranded in the Kingdom due to the temporary suspension of flights between Saudi Arabia and a number of other countries in an attempt to stop the spread of the virus.

EgyptAir has stated that it will also arrange the return of Saudi nationals currently visiting Egypt to their homeland.
