Islamabad: The death toll in the recent quake in Pakistan and Afghanistan has risen to 375. According to official reports from the two countries, the number of killed in Pakistan is 260, with 115 casualties in Afghanistan.

More than 2,000 people have been injured.  The death toll could climb in coming days as communications were down in much of the rugged Hindu Kush mountain range where the quake was centred.
