Bangladesh reports 3 cases of Coronavirus

Bangladesh has reported confirmed cases of Coronavirus for the first time yesterday. Three Bangladeshis have been found positive for Corona Virus COVID 19 infection. Director of Institute of Epidemiology, Diseases Control and Research (IEDCR) Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora confirmed that three Bangladeshis have been found positive for Corona Virus COVID 19 infection. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged people not to panic and advised to maintain cleanliness and follow instructions. 

Bangladesh has restricted the entry of people from Italy, South Korea, Japan and Kuwait into the country without corona-free medical certificates with them. Incoming passengers to the country are also being monitored at the airport and seaports of Bangladesh.

In Iran, the health ministry reported 49 new deaths from the novel coronavirus yesterday, the highest within 24 hours since the start of the outbreak in the country. The new count brings the number of those killed by the virus in the country to 194, one of the highest tolls outside of China. The virus has spread to all of Iran's 31 provinces with over 6,500 confirmed



cases.

In South Korea, 272 new COVID-19 cases have been reported yesterday, taking the number to over 7000, the highest outside China. The numbers are the lowest daily reported numbers in more than a week. 

Hundreds of churches across the country closed their doors yesterday and held online services. Scores of events have been cancelled or postponed over the contagion, with school and kindergarten breaks extended by three weeks nationwide. 

In the US, a cruise ship hit by coronavirus was given permission late yesterday to dock, while New York announced a state of emergency as confirmed cases across the country crossed 400. The Grand Princess cruise ship has recorded 21 COVID-19 infections on board, out of 45 people tested. The ship's crew will be quarantined and treated aboard the ship. 

The fast-spreading virus has already reached 30 in US states, killing at least 19 people, while the American capital announced its first case yesterday. Public events are being canceled across the country.
