Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dr. A K Abdul Momen yesterday called upon the international community to keep up the pressure on Myanmar for the early return of the Rohingya refugees. He said that Myanmar should create a conducive environment for the return of Rohingyas through decisive action.

He was speaking to the media yesterday after briefing the diplomats of foreign missions and representatives of UN agencies in Dhaka about the Rohingya situation in Bangladesh. He said Myanmar should allow international media and UN agencies to monitor and report on Myanmar’s readiness in receiving their displaced people.

Speaking about the NGOs, Foreign Minister said that action will be taken against the NGOs operating in Rohingya camps if they violate terms and references of their working.

In the meanwhile, the NGO Affairs Bureau suspended six projects of a local NGO Mukti Cox's Bazar for allegedly supplying sharp weapons to Rohingya refugees.
