Another Hindu priest hacked to death in Bangladesh

Another Hindu priest was hacked to death today. 45-year old Shaymanonda Das was hacked to death in front of a temple in Jhenaidah district headquarters in Bangladesh. The priest was preparing morning prayers with flowers at the temple early in the morning when three young people came by a motor bike and killed him with machetes and fled away. Police said, they do not know the motive behind the killing of the priest. 

Similar kind of killing of Hindu priest had occurred in



last moth. The 65-year old priest, Ananta Kumar Ganguly was on his way to Mohishanagar on bycycle to perform his ritual puja, when assailants attacked him. Middle-East based IS has claimed the responsibility for killing of a Hindu priest in Jhenaidah according to Intelligence Monitoring Group SITE. 

Bangladesh has seen a surge in violent attacks in few months on liberal activists, members of minority Muslim sects and other religious groups by Islamist extremists.
