As of July 15, confirmed the COVID-19 case total from 55 African countries has reached 625,818. The number of tests performed has reached 6,005,701 while the number of active cases is 297,291.
Reported deaths in Africa have reached 13,762 and recoveries 3314,763.
South Africa has the most reported cases – 298,292, with deaths numbering 4,346. Other most-affected countries include Egypt (83,930 cases), Nigeria (33,616), Ghana (24,988) and Algeria (20,216).
The numbers are



compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well national and regional public health departments.
