9 charred to death as major fire tears through Bangladesh slum

In Bangladesh, at least nine persons were charred to death  and over 200 shanties gutted in fire at Chittagong today. Dhaka Tribune reported that the devastating blaze broke out in the wee hours when most of the slum dwellers were asleep.

The reason behind the



fire was not immediately known. According to the officials, dozens of people injured in the fire which started at Bhera Market slum.
