6.7 magnitude earthquake strikes China's Xinjiang

In China, a strong 6.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Aketao County in the quake-prone Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region last night.United States Geological Survey said, the quake struck southern Xinjiang, a vast region bordering central Asia, at a relatively shallow



depth of 12 kilometres.

There was no immediate report of any casualty or damage.
