A 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit off the east coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula today. According to the US Geological Survey, the quake struck at 3:50 am (local time) at a depth of 29



kilometres with its epicentre located 128 miles south of Ust'-Kamchatsk Staryy.
US Geological experts said that perceived shaking on the peninsula was light and no damage expected.
