3 people killed in shooting in Sweden

In Sweden, three people have tragically lost their lives following a shooting incident at a hair salon near Vaksala Square in Uppsala.

The shooter reportedly fled the scene on a scooter and remains at large. Local authorities have cordoned off a significant area in the centre of the city and launched a murder investigation.

The incident happened on the eve of the Walpurgis spring festival, which brings large crowds onto the streets of



Uppsala, a city located north of the capital, Stockholm, and known for its university.

There has been increasing concern over the number of shootings and gang attacks in recent years in Sweden, and the government said it wants to tighten the country’s gun laws.

In February, 10 people were killed in a shooting incident at an adult education centre in the Swedish town of Örebro.
