28 killed in floods, landslides in Nepal

In Nepal, 28 people were killed and scores injured in floods and landslides triggered by incessant monsoon rain. The country's Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement that 24 people are missing. Officials said, the death toll could rise as 75 houses have collapsed in some 10 districts due to floods. Local police have been deployed in rescue operations in the affected districts.
