In Libya, at least 14 pro-government fighters were killed and 30 others injured in clashes with the Islamic State terror group in Sirte. Medical official said, the majority of those killed were shot in the head by



sniper fire. He said one fighter was also shot dead. After a pause in fighting, pro-GNA fighters resumed the battle against Islamic State holdouts on Thursday. A pro-government forces commander said that IS snipers were slowing the anti-militant advance. The fighting has left more than 550 GNA fighters dead and 3,000 wounded. The IS death toll is not known.
