Yashwanth Bhukya, a young mountaineer from Telangana, has successfully scaled Assam’s highest peak, Mt Tumjang, also known as Sielkal Peak, standing at 6,102 feet.

This marks his fifth expedition under the ongoing Mission Har Shikhar Par Tiranga, and is part of his Seven Sisters Expedition.

Previously, Yashwanth had completed climbs

of the highest peaks in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, making Assam his fifth successful state climb.

The final stretch of the Assam climb was steep and slippery, demanding great endurance and focus. The journey was made even more memorable by the warmth and hospitality of the people of Assam, whose encouragement brought immense joy and inspiration.
