On the occasion of ‘World Brain Stroke Day,’ Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar along with Yashoda Hospitals Group Director.
Dr. Pawan Gorukanti inaugurated a Brain Stroke Awareness Program organized by Secunderabad Yashoda Hospitals, on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sajjanar
stressed the importance of recognising the symptoms of stroke, as immediate medical help can save lives and prevent permanent disability.
“According to the latest statistics, approximately 1.8 million new cases of brain stroke are reported in India every year and in the last 30 years, new cases have increased by 51%,” he said.
