Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday said the Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri will be thrown open to the public in the last week of November or first week of December.
“The government is making massive arrangements to hold a yagam on the occasion, and has invited many dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has promised that he would grace the occasion,” he said.
Addressing the State Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister said the State government was not only focusing on welfare and development but was also giving equal importance to spiritual wellness irrespective of religion, and providing financial support for development of all religious
structures. “Spiritual centres like Vemulawada, Basara, Bhadradri and Yadadri have been developed for the benefit of devotees,” he said.
Apart from taking up repair and renovation works of Mecca Masjid and some churches, he pointed out that the State government was extending financial support for development of several temples especially during Bonalu festival which was being celebrated officially. “The State government believes in respecting all religions,” he said.
Religious structures that were damaged during the demolition of the old State Secretariat complex would be reconstructed and all arrangements had been made in this regard, he added.
