Women Protest With Empty Pots in Nirmal District

It is usual to see reports on drinking water problems in summer season. Scarcity of water is very common during the dry season. Significantly, women complained of drinking water even when there is copious rainfall in Nirmal district. 

Women with empty pots protested against the lack of drinking water on the highway at the SC Colony in Taroda village, Mudhole mandal in Nirmal



district.

The women complained that they had not been getting drinking water for the last 20 days and made it clear that they would not end the protest till water was supplied to them.

They faulted the authorities for neglecting their repeated requests and complaints and demanded immediate action. Vehicles got stranded on either side of the road due to the protest up to nearly one kilometre.
