Woman found dead in Durgam Cheruvu lake

A woman is suspected to have died by suicide at Durgam Cheruvu on Wednesday night.

According to the police, B Sushma (27), a resident of East Marredpally on Wednesday went to attend work at her office located at Hitec City. When she failed to return home in the night, her parents inquired with the office and came to know that she had left the office at 10.30 pm.

After inquiring with relatives and friends, the parents approached the Madhapur police in the early hours of Thursday. The police had



registered a missing woman case and started an investigation.

“Around 7 am, the body of a woman was found floating in the Durgam Cheruvu. With the help of expert swimmers, it was brought out. The body is identified as that of Sushma, we suspect she committed suicide by jumping into the lake,” said Madhapur Inspector, D Krishna Mohan.

A case is registered and police are trying to ascertain the reason that forced the woman to end her life.
