A 40-year-old woman died after suffering an electric shock while using an immersion water heater at her residence in Peerzadiguda in Medipally on Monday.

The victim was identified as D Swathi, a native of Bhongir, who was living with her husband Srinivas and their three children in Mallikarjuna Nagar. Srinivas works at a



printing press in Cherlapally.

According to the police, around evening, Swathi allegedly slipped accidentally, and her hand came into contact with the water in the bucket while the heater was still switched on, resulting in a severe electric shock.

The impact of the shock was so intense that she died on the spot.
