Woman Doctor Dies By Suicide In Hyderabad After US Visa Put On Hold

A woman doctor from Guntur died by suicide after facing a visa setback, police said on Monday. Dr Kaku Rohini, a resident of Old Guntur Police Station limits had plans to move to the United States and build a career there.

She had recently applied for a visa. However, her plans were derailed after her application was reportedly put on hold, leaving her



deeply distressed.

The police say that Rohini took her own life in Hyderabad, where she had been staying for work. Her family later brought her body back home in Old Guntur.

The police have launched an inquiry and are speaking to her family members about her state of mind and the circumstances that may have led to the incident.
