Woman alleges cheating on marriage promise in Hyderabad

24-year-old man has been booked by Jubilee Hills police for allegedly cheating a woman after entering into a live-in relationship with her on the promise of marriage and later fleeing.

According to police, the victim, a native of Kolkata, became acquainted with the suspect identified as Manowar Thesain, who hails from Assam, while both were working at the same restaurant. The acquaintance soon turned into a relationship, with the suspect



reportedly assuring her that he would marry her.

Believing his promise, the woman began living with him. However, after some time, the accused allegedly refused to marry her and went absconding on April 22.

Realising she had been deceived, the victim approached the police and lodged a complaint. Based on her statement, the Jubilee Hills police booked a case and efforts are underway to trace and nab the suspect at the earliest.
