Woman advocate killed by brother in Moinabad 'Property Dispute '

A 34-year-old woman advocate was allegedly murdered by her own brother during a dispute over family property in Moinabad in Rangareddy district on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Swapna, was a practicing lawyer at the Chevella Court.

According to preliminary police investigations, the incident took place at Kethireddypally village under Moinabad police station limits. Swapna had gone to a farmland where



a panchayat was being held to resolve a long-standing property dispute within the family.

As per information available, the discussion escalated into a heated argument, during which Swapna’s brother allegedly attacked her in a fit of rage with a knife on the neck. 

She suffered severe injuries and collapsed on the spot. Locals rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where the doctors declared her dead.
