The water supply in several parts of the city will be disrupted for 36 hours on October 5 and 6 due to repair and replacement works scheduled on the MS pumping main, part of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project (KDWSP) Phase-II which supplies water to Hyderabad.
Works involving the replacement of damaged MS air tees and valves, as well as the repair of a leak in the scour pipeline, will be carried out from 6 am on October 5 to 6 pm on October 6, the HMWSSB informed consumers in a press release.
Residents in some areas may experience a complete or partial suspension of the water supply, or a low-pressure supply. The areas affected
by the disruption include Adibatla, Kammaguda, Gurramguda, BN Reddy Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Autonagar, Alkapuri, Beerappagadda, Habsiguda, Ramanthapur, Venkat Reddy Nagar, Uppal, Nacharam, HMT Nagar, Tarnaka and Buddha Nagar.
Also affected would be Lalapet (partial), Hasmathpet, Prakash Nagar, Mekalamandi, Bholakpur (partial), Padmarao Nagar, Begumpet, South Central Railway, MES, Secunderabad Cantonment, Lalaguda, Addagutta, Pattigutta, Nallagutta, Gautam Nagar, Ferozguda, Bansilalpet, Ramgopalpet, Sitaphalmandi, Mettuguda, Vaishali Nagar, Meerpet, Badangpet, ARCI, Balapur, Maisaram, Barkas, NPA, Shamshabad, Madhuban, Prashasan Nagar (partial).
