Emergency repairs to address a leak at the pumping main near the Srinivas Nagar Bridge at the Bommakal Pumping Station, under the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme supplying the Hyderabad metropolitan area, will lead to an interruption in drinking water supply in several localities. The supply will be disrupted from Friday 1 pm to Saturday 6 am.

The areas which will be affected include S R Nagar, Sanathnagar, Borabanda, SPR Hills, Erragadda, Banjara Hills, Vengal Rao Nagar, Yellareddyguda, Somajiguda, Fatehnagar, Kukatpally, Bhagyanagar, Vivekananda Nagar, Yellamma Banda, Moosapet, Bharat Nagar, Motinagar, Gayatri Nagar, Babanagar, KPHB, Balaji Nagar, Hasmathpet, Chintal, Suchitra, Jeedimetla, Shapurnagar, Gajularamaram, Suraram, Adarsh Nagar, Bhagat Singh Nagar, Jagadgirigutta and Ushodaya

HMWSSB, in an official statement on Friday, said the repair work is scheduled from 1 pm on Friday (January 2) and will continue up to 6 am on January 3. The water supply disruption will continue for 19 hours.
