Following heavy rains in the catchment areas overnight, the twin reservoirs of Osman Sagar and Himayath Sagar recorded a considerable rise in water levels on Wednesday.
The HMWSSB authorities were on high alert, monitoring the situation closely to ensure the safety of residents in the surrounding areas. The water board had already issued flood warnings and advisories to keep the public informed and prepared for any potential emergencies.
