Telangana Waqf Board Chairman Syed Azmatullah Hussaini criticised Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar's remarks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, asserting that Gandhi is "a leader of the people" and that his political future would be decided by the electorate, not by political opponents.

Hussaini said Bandi Sanjay's comments were "partly right and partly wrong" in the context of the prevailing political situation, but maintained that Rahul Gandhi did not become a leader due to anyone's patronage.

Highlighting Congress' legacy, Hussaini

said the party had expanded democratic participation by lowering the voting age to 18 years and enabling greater youth representation in local bodies. He said the Congress would continue to support measures aimed at increasing youth participation in legislatures.

Referring to the recent protests over the NEET issue, Hussaini claimed there was growing public anger against the BJP-led government and said people would ultimately decide the political fortunes of parties in a democracy. He urged the BJP to focus on governance and addressing public concerns.
