In the year 2025, the overall crime rate in the Vikarabad district increased by 3.31 per cent, with a drastic increase in murder for gain, murders, and house burglaries during the day.
However, the road accident cases and crimes against women have come down during the year. In the previous year, 3,681 cases
were registered by the Vikarabad police, while in the current year, 3,813 cases were registered under various acts.
District Superintendent of Police, Sneha Mehra, said the cases have increased due to a rise in population and awareness of the public’s to seeking help from the police during distress.
