A group of farmers in Suryapet district symbolically sprinkled their own blood in agricultural fields, saying they were acting on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks.

During a press conference last week, the Chief Minister, while responding to a question on water scarcity affecting farmers, remarked that the blood and fat of BRS leaders could be used to cultivate fields.

Claiming they were following the Chief Minister’s suggestion, a few farmers, including women, from Sevalal Thanda in Chivvemla mandal hired a lab technician

to draw their blood. They later carried the collected blood to their fields and sprinkled it on the land. Videos of the incident have surfaced on social media and are being widely circulated.
