Van overturns after tyre burst in Nirmal, 15 injured

Around 15 members of a marriage party sustained injuries when a van carrying them overturned after a tyre burst at Kondapur village in Nirmal rural mandal on Thursday.

Police said 13 persons suffered minor injuries, while two were seriously injured when the van in which they were travelling overturned on the outskirts of Kondapur.

 The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital in Nirmal.



The condition of the two seriously injured persons was stated to be critical.

On receiving information, SP Dr Janaki Sharmila, along with her team, rushed to the spot, ensured that the victims were shifted to the hospital and received proper medical attention. She also enquired about the circumstances in which the accident occurred. 

The bursting of a tyre is suspected to be the cause of the mishap.
