Uttam Kumar claims Congress victory in Jubilee Hills just a formality

Though the recent moves of the Congress have exposed the party’s apprehensions over its performance in the Jubilee Hills bypoll, Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday claimed that a Congress victory in the constituency was a mere formality.

The Irrigation Minister, along with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, conducted a door-to-door campaign in Krishnanagar



on Thursday. Describing the Congress win as a “guaranteed victory”, Uttam Kumar Reddy said survey trends were clearly favourable to the party.

Alleging that the BRS had not sanctioned even a single white ration card to the poor in Jubilee Hills, he claimed that the Congress government had sanctioned 40,000 new white ration cards in the constituency over the past 20 months.
